Terms of Service

Effective Date: March 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the QRConnectMe platform, including our mobile applications, web portals, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

QRConnectMe is a vehicle QR tag platform that provides:

• For vehicle owners: Physical QR tags linked to vehicles, enabling anonymous communication with the public (wrong parking alerts, lights-on notifications, emergency contact routing) while keeping the owner's identity private
• For the public: A web-based scanner interface to notify vehicle owners anonymously
• For agents: A portal to onboard vehicle owners, sell QR tags, and earn commission on each activation
• For employees: A portal to recruit and manage field agents

2. User Roles and Eligibility

The Service supports the following user roles:

Owner	Vehicle owner with a linked QR tag	Must be 18+ with a valid Indian phone number
Agent	Field representative who sells QR tags	Must be 18+, onboarded by an employee or admin
Employee	Company representative who recruits agents	Authorized by QRConnectMe administration
Public	Anyone scanning a QR tag	No registration required

3. Account and Authentication

• Accounts are created and authenticated via OTP (One-Time Password) sent to your registered Indian mobile number
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your phone number and OTP codes
• You must not share your OTP with anyone. QRConnectMe will never ask for your OTP via phone call, email, or chat.
• One account per phone number. Duplicate accounts are not permitted.

4. QR Tag Purchase and Activation

• QR tags are sold at the price displayed at the time of purchase (currently Rs. 699 per tag)
• Payment is processed securely through Razorpay. QRConnectMe does not store your payment card or bank details.
• Upon successful payment, a QR tag is activated and linked to the specified vehicle
• Each QR tag is linked to one vehicle at a time
• Tags can be deactivated by the owner at any time using the Kill Switch feature

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Register vehicles you do not own or are not authorized to register
• Use the scanner interface to harass, stalk, or repeatedly target a specific vehicle
• Attempt to reverse-engineer masked registration numbers or owner identities
• Use automated tools to abuse the OTP, scan, or payment systems
• Resell, transfer, or commercially exploit QR tags without written authorization from QRConnectMe
• Provide false information during registration or purchase

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in that policy.

7. Intellectual Property

The QRConnectMe name, logo, software, and associated content are the intellectual property of QRConnectMe. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without written permission.

8. Service Availability

• We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
• Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible
• Third-party dependencies (payment gateway, SMS provider, telecom carriers) may occasionally affect service availability

9. Limitation of Liability

• QRConnectMe is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
• We are not liable for losses arising from delayed notifications, SMS delivery failures, or payment processing delays caused by third-party providers
• Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim
• We are not responsible for any disputes between vehicle owners and members of the public arising from scan interactions

10. Account Termination

• You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the platform
• Upon termination, active QR tags linked to your account will be deactivated

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via SMS.
